I am located in an outpatient clinic within and independent hospital system. I am a Residency trained Pelvic Health Physical Therapist working with men, women, and children affected by bowel and bladder dysfunction. Sexual dysfunction in all adult populations can also be addressed.
Around 2016, I started to have severe Pelvic Pain. By 2017, my OB/GYN decided to perform a hysterectomy. That surgery led my body, into such worst debilitating pain, that I was bedridden for 6 months afterwards. When I did walk, it felt like I was going to drop a baby. That was the only way I could describe it. Like I had felt when I was 9 months pregnant, high risk, with my twins, back in 1995. That Pelvic Pain.
In 2019, I was told of a local Pelvic Doctor, whom recommended ‘Pelvic’ Therapy.
I had never been told of Pelvic trauma before, during the years, with all this pain, w all my doctors: Primary, OB/GYN, Pain Management, Chiropractor, Physical Therapist, etc., no one ever explained to me about PELVIC PAIN and PELVIC THERAPY.
It was around 2019 when I found Charlie Felty @ Jupiter Medical Physical Therapy.
Charlie started performing Pelvic therapy treatments, monthly. Each time, she was Very patient. Very Caring. For me, the pain was so great, that I would SOB cry, through each therapy. This went on for months. Afterward each session,, Charley would remind me, that if I experienced fatigue, to allow my body to rest. In the beginning, I would come home and immediately fall asleep. Each next day, I always felt glimmers of relief.
This therapy became profound to me. It was actually working.
I continued with Charlie into 2020, at which time, my Pelvic, actually became PAIN-FREE!
I was healed! It was unbelievable. We actually cried because we had to say good-bye but we had reached our goal. Sometimes I still can’t believe it.
It is now December 2022, and I know that I am completely healed. I do not feel that pain except when I have done too much and then I rest, do my pelvic exercises and it goes away ;))))))))))
Had I know of Pelvic Therapy back in 2016, maybe I wouldn’t have needed the Hysterectomy. Who knows? All I know is that I am ever so grateful to know now and want everyone to know about this type of Pain Relief.
