Life is complicated, but I am here to help clients navigate through overwhelming life transitions, periods of self-exploration, and stressful experiences. I provide a safe space for clients to engage in self-exploration and strategies for personal growth. I’d love to work with clients who are motivated to improve their life satisfaction and well-being by challenging themselves through thoughtful self-reflection and fostering self-compassion.
By working with individuals experiencing anxiety, perfectionism, career, premarital, relationship difficulties, sexual health concerns, and life transitions, I facilitate growth in learning effective coping strategies, improving communication, and setting healthy boundaries. I enjoy working with couples for whom effective communication, building emotional and sexual intimacy, and repairing trust are concerns within the relationship. I create change by utilizing techniques from Levels 1 and 2 of Gottman Method Couples Therapy, the curriculum for the 7 Principles for Making Marriage Work, and training as a certified sex coach by understanding communication difficulties, cycles of conflict, love languages, and more.
My experience includes counseling college students and adults, incorporating cognitive-behavioral, strengths-based, and trauma-informed techniques to build effective coping skills and improve emotional well-being. I aim to meet clients with an empathetic heart, authenticity, and gratitude for sharing their vulnerability with me. I encourage the healthy development of effective problem-solving, shame-resilience, empowerment, and well-being.
When I am not in session, I enjoy traveling (especially to the beach!), playing with my two pups, reading domestic suspense books, and trying new restaurants with my husband.
